Enjoying the day out at the Botanic Gardens
Thirty Family Carers from across North Dublin met up in the National Botanic Gardens for a conducted tour and morning coffee to celebrate national Carers week. Sgt Vincent Connolly from Blanchardstown accompanied those of us who had no transport in the Garda community bus. The sun shone for the first time in days , we had a really nice time.

Two groups of Family Carers enjoying a morning of flower arranging from Blanchardstown & Balbriggan before Easter. This was made possible by ongoing support from the VEC.
Fiona Mahon Meath Ladies vice Captain, Aisling Clery Chairperson Meath Ladies, Mary O'Regan Secretary Meath Ladies and Jacqueline Millman The Carers Association Development Manager North Dublin & Meath at the launch of the Sharing the Caring campaign in Meath. The green ribbons are a joint fundraising between the Ladies GAA in Meath and The Carers Association.
They will be on sale all over Meath at only €2. All profits will be staying local.
Training Information Day
North Dublin Carers Association had a very successful free training information day in The Draiocht theatre on 3rd February 2012. Practical Care Skills Training in Blanchardstown
This group of family carers recently completed a FETAC 5 module in Blanchardstown. They enjoyed the course itself very much. The students also appreciated the mutual support & common experiences shared with their classmates. The next course for family commences in Artane at the end of June & Blanchardstown in October. There is no charge for this training which is funded by a grant from the Dormant Accounts. Please contact 01-8119555 for application forms & more information.
